Fundraising
In an ongoing effort to raise funds to support
the medical needs of homeless animals, Protectors of Homeless Pets
of Carteret County happily accepts donations of aluminum soda and
beer cans! You can bring your cans to
Carteret County Humane
Society at 853 Hibbs Rd, Newport, NC 28570. Cans can be
deposited in the white fenced in area by the metal shed at the
shelter. If the shelter is closed, cans can be left outside
the gate in the donation dog house.
Carteret County NC Humane Society hours of operation are:
Monday through Friday: 10am - 1pm | 2pm - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 2pm
Sunday: Closed. (Spring and Summer Open 11am - 3pm)
Many members of PHPCC also actively volunteer at the shelter walking dogs, caring for the cats and helping out with other jobs around the shelter, because the funds provided by Carteret County does not allow the shelter to hire enough help to provide some of these "extras". PHPCC welcomes new members and donations at any time as we continue to support the management, staff and animals of the Carteret County
